Hutchens Set for NASCAR Return to Memphis International Raceway May 31, 2017

Saturday’s “Memphis 125” will mark the first visit to Memphis International Raceway in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East history.

“I’m really looking forward to heading to Memphis this weekend to race after over a long month off. Memphis is a race track I grew up watching races at and I am excited to try my hand at a place with so much character.”

Memphis last hosted a NASCAR-sanctioned event in 2009, when Brad Keselowski won a NASCAR XFINITY Series race. Recent NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Ron Hornaday Jr. also won a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the track that season.

“It’s been a while since there have been cars on the track, so monitoring and adapting to the changing track is going to be the key for Saturday afternoon’s race. Hopefully we find a good foundation for setup on Friday’s test day so we can fine tune our Chevrolet on Saturday for the race. I think this could be the place to finally turn our luck around and get some momentum headed in to the summer months.”
